Cartoonist's Note: While I take time away from my drawing board to organize the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists convention (June 27-29, Salt Lake), I am featuring the work of some who will be attending. Besides being a fine cartoonist who once worked for Mad Magazine, Monte Wolverton is also the current president of the Rat Terrier Club of America. Hs other-worldly fine art can be seen at http://www.montewolverton.com/

Monte and I share a mostly left-of-center political outlook, as does Steve Sack, who was featured here yesterday. One of the questions I get about the coming convention is, "Aren't there any conservative cartoonists?" Indeed there are. In fact, there are quite a number, and if you check this space tomorrow you will get to meet one.
