I am totally offended that Weber State University has "honored" such a hateful person as senior Mormon apostle Boyd K. Packer, who I compare to the likes of Fred Phelps, the pastor of the Westboro Baptist Church, and the late Alabama Gov. George Wallace.

As one of the signers of the letter sent to Weber State protesting the naming of the new family support center after Packer, I am livid that a university representative, Jack Rasmussen, dean of the College of Education, would dismiss those of us complaining about Packer's public positions as "only certain kinds of people" who "would know about those remarks or worry about those remarks."
