Re "Salt Lake City offers free electronic waste recycling events" (Tribune, May 10):

The recycling of electronic waste (e-waste) is a great idea. With the constant flow of new electronic devices — phones, computers, hard drives, TV screens and music-playing devices — it is wise to offer Salt Lake City the opportunity to recycle these products with toxic ingredients in a way that is not harmful to the environment.

If Samsung would offer this service to other cities, many would benefit. Great job, Salt Lake!
