Tribune TV columnist Scott Pierce encouraged Utahns to adopt the Colorado Rockies as their home team and to watch the Rockies on ROOT Sports ("Watch TV and root for the (Colorado) home team?" Tribune, April 17). However, The Tribune does little to encourage this.
If this situation is to improve, the Sports section must cover major league baseball better; it must cover the Colorado Rockies much better. Thus far, coverage of the Rockies during spring training and into the season has been pathetic, just as it has been in the past.
The Trib's On TV Tonight section should list the Rockies games on the ROOT Sports line instead of the Seattle Mariners.
