Thank you, Pat Bagley, for your most appropriate April 25 cartoon coming at the time of the much ballyhooed dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. The title across the top of the building tells it all: "Lie-bury."
Nearly 4,500 U.S. soldiers died in the ill-advised war in Iraq. When all the direct and indirect costs at tallied, more than $2 trillion will have been spent.
Weapons of mass destruction, a role in the 9/11 attack, "mission accomplished" and other lies were foisted upon the American public by Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. This trio belongs in a World Court of law rather than dedicating a presidential library for a dishonest president.
