Gun control is a heavily debated topic, especially after the recent gun violence. People are missing the point.

Restrictive control of guns will work as well as Prohibition, or outlawing drugs. It will only make guns a more desirable commodity. Increased gun control will increase the black market gun trade.

The problem is not gun ownership; it's the violent acts by gun owners.

What we really need is a law banning murder. Wait — we already have that. What makes us think that laws banning concealed weapons will protect us from those who are not law-abiding?

Further gun control will only weaken citizens' defenses against people determined to kill.
