Re "Mormon women at U. event: We'll press forward for priesthood" (Tribune, April 7):
I do not know any LDS woman interested in having the priesthood. The women in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are already in charge of three huge organizations, in addition to taking care of their families and giving service to others.
For the most part, women are responsible for planning and executing healthy meals, keeping the house clean and carpooling. Many work outside the home, get their children and husbands to school and to work on time, remind their families of meetings they need to attend, and make sure church clothes are clean and pressed.
Most LDS women have one or two callings in the local ward or stake. All the women I know, active LDS or not, are the spiritual heart of the home, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Enough already!
The men need to have something. Let them have the priesthood!
