The approaching summer brings out the beautiful weather and sunshine. For many girls, the season also brings out insecurities.

There is so much pressure from media and fashion for every girl to fit perfectly into short shorts and bikinis. Many teen girls feel constantly bombarded by advertisements and magazines that portray what society sees as a perfect body.

Frequently this standard is unrealistic and unattainable. Proper exercise and diet are very important, but the goal should not be to obtain a waif-like body but a healthy lifestyle.
