Letter: Bad air not so bad
First Published Mar 20 2013 01:01 am • Last Updated Mar 20 2013 01:01 am

I am tired of the bad publicity from our few-days-a-year bad air. I am not proud of our bad air, but we do live in a basin and inversions will happen.

But look at our positives. No hurricanes or tsunamis, very few tornadoes or high-wind storms. Add the beauty of our canyons, high mountains, wonderful lakes, the best snow on Earth, moderate winters and summers and the most beautiful springs and autumns.

Throw in our special culture, excellent education system, special workforce and work ethic. We also have moderate taxes, spend wisely and balance our budgets.

Our area is pretty darn good — a great place to live, work and raise a family.
