Sen. John Valentine, R-Orem, is concerned that taking down the Zion Wall in restaurants blurs the line between restaurants and bars and that "we are crossing that line we should not be crossing" ("Utah House says tear down the Zion Curtain," Tribune, March 6).

Valentine should spend some time in restaurants. Few have an alcoholic beverage with their dinner. The others are not concerned about alcohol — they're eating, reading the menu, correcting their kids.

Then Valentine should visit a local bar. It's the difference between night and day. No children, just grown-ups having a brew with co-workers and friends. They are not drunkards; they are ordinary people having a good time with friends.
