A letter to the editor once asked: What is wrong with a little socialism? Are not our post office and schools socialistic? Why, yes, they are. And they are a disaster.
The U.S. Postal Service is slow, inefficient, top-heavy and wasteful. Private companies such as FedEx and UPS do better since they look at the bottom line, while the post office is constantly looking for a increase in the price of the postage.

Now, it will be ending Saturday delivery for letters (not packages). This may increase its cost, since even more people will fill the gap with more emails, telephone checks, and other ways to get around the postal system.
And our schools? Simply compare the record of a private school and a socialistic-run public school. Private schools produce a high-quality education that surpasses their socialistic counterparts.
Despite its allure, socialism really does not work.
