A Utah duplicity
This is an archived article that was published on sltrib.com in 2013, and information in the article may be outdated. It is provided only for personal research purposes and may not be reprinted.

Front-page stories on March 1 and 2 report that Utah policymakers are eagerly promoting unrestricted access to guns ("House: No gun permit needed," Tribune, March 2) while simultaneously seeking to restrict access to opioid analgesics for chronic pain patients because the medicine has the potential to be lethal ("Docs to blame for pain pill deaths?" Tribune, March 1).

Can anyone explain this duplicity?
