Re "Protesters booed at Utah gun show" (Tribune, Jan. 6):

The people who protested assault weapons at the Rocky Mountain Gun Show last weekend were fighting an uphill battle.

I agree with their protest, but they had more courage than sense. They were welcomed by these gun enthusiasts, just as anyone wearing an NAACP t-shirt would be at a Ku Klux Klan rally.
