Whew! The world didn't end on Dec. 21. But all that fretting and preparing was not in vain.

The world may last another million years or more, but the world of each person on it will end soon. The best answer I've heard to the question "Are these the last days?" is "They are for you!"

As Robert Herrick penned years ago: "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying: And this same flower that smiles to-day to-morrow will be dying."

Improve the shining moments, don't let them pass you by.

Prepare, prepare.
