When drunken driving was killing hundreds of schoolchildren every year, a group of American moms started Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

During the 32 years since then, drunken driving deaths have slowly decreased. Today, the thoughts, views and culture of driving while intoxicated has changed — the three-martini lunch is a relic.

We can similarly lower the numbers of gun-related deaths through sensible ownership laws, regulations and a different view of gun ownership.
