The Tribune editorial board commended Dixie College President Stephen Nadauld for wanting to remove "Dixie" from the college's name ("Something in a name," Our View, Dec. 8).

I condemn him for that view. Dixie is part of our American history.

Remove the statue of a brave soldier just because he fought for the Confederate States?

If not offending anyone is to be the standard, then we must give all public schools numbers instead of names. P.S. 84, for example.

No more Utah State University! No sir! It must be called P.U. 2.
