Wake up, Utah

Kudos to Trib reporter Brandon Loomis for his excellent series on the West's dying forests, including "Beetle invasion threatens forests from coast to coast" (Tribune, Oct. 28). He deserves a Pulitzer Prize.

It's time for Utah to rejoin the Western Climate Initiative, face the dangers of a rapidly warming planet and do its part to develop and apply concrete measures to mitigate the effects of climate change.
