Re "'In God We Trust' license plates may soon come to Utah" (Tribune, Oct. 24):

I propose a practical alternative to putting "In God We Trust" on license plates.

In The Book of Five Rings, a book on strategy, tactics and philosophy, the great 17th century Japanese samurai Miyamoto Musashi advised: "Respect the deities but do not rely on them."
