Re "CEO to workers: If Obama wins, I'll lay you off" (Tribune, Oct. 12):
How to begin: such hubris, arrogance, hypocrisy, extortion, intimidation, coercion!
David Siegel, the CEO mogul of Westgate Park City Resort and Spa, send a letter to all his employees threatening their jobs if Barack Obama gets re-elected. "My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, so will your opportunities," he claimed.
"The economy doesn't currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job, however, is another 4 years of the same Presidential administration," he continued, defending the super-rich and himself.
This is what the middle class and workers of America have to look forward to if the Republicans win this election.
The 2 percenters might offer you a job, but at what price? Think back just a generation or two and remember the wonderful working conditions of factory workers, miners, even public employees.
Their control doesn't stop with just directing employees for whom to vote!
