"Harry Reid: Mitt Romney is not the face of Mormonism" (Tribune, Sept. 25) concludes by quoting Utah Republican Party chairman Thomas Wright: "I've not run across one Mormon who thinks that Mitt Romney is not a good face for Mormons and for two liberal Democrats to use that ploy to try to convince Mormons and Democrats to vote against Romney is disappointing and sad."

I am a Mormon mother of two, an unaffiliated voter, and Romney is not a good face for me or my faith. Where has Wright been? He must live in a cocoon. I know several Mormons who think Romney is not the face of their Mormonism.

What I find "sad" is Wright's "ploy" to use Romney's supposed representation of Mormonism to try to convince Mormons to vote for Romney. Carry on, Sen. Reid!
