Regarding the GOP question: Are you better off today than you were four years ago? I think we should remake the movie "It's a Wonderful Life." Instead of showing what Bedford Falls would be like without George Bailey's positive influences, show the alternate universe we'd be living in if John McCain and Sarah Palin had been elected instead of Barack Obama.

Talk about a trajectory from hell. Four years ago at the 2008 election, the New York Stock Exchange was below 9,000 and still dropping (it would bottom out at 7,000), and total jobs lost in 2008 were 2.6 million. Makes me shudder to think where we'd be without Obama's job-producing stimulus and leadership. Today, the market is over 13,000.

Are we better off today than four years ago? Absolutely!
