I'm an independent who listened to all three nights of the Republican National Convention. I didn't like much of what I heard, but there was also a lot that I liked.

I'm convinced that Mitt Romney is a good person. I'm also convinced he is intelligent and a hard worker — he will give his all to being president. I would be comfortable having Romney as president.

I'm not so sure about Paul Ryan being a heartbeat away from the presidency. He seems much more interested in dismantling the government than in making it run better to serve the people.

Nevertheless, I'm leaning to voting for Romney, but first I'll give the Democrats their chance at rebuttal next week. But the Republicans put on a solid show.
