Never too late to change

Several months ago, my wife left a stereo system outside as she went to get lunch. When she returned, it was gone.

Neighbors saw some young men leaving the property around lunch time. We were saddened by the loss, and more saddened that the young man would have to live with what he did.

A few days ago, the stereo system was on our front porch with an anonymous note. The individual expressed sorrow and said he was trying to become a better person and felt he needed to give back more than he took (an iPod touch was included). He hoped we would forgive him.

We want to let this individual know that we indeed forgive him. He is a testament that it's never too late to change. We wish him the best and hope he will continue his quest to live an honest life.
