So much for a Republican "big tent" in Tampa. First, Ron Paul's properly elected delegates from Maine were seated with the rest of the Maine delegation, eventually walking out in protest.
Then, during the roll call, each time a state announced it was casting votes for Ron Paul, the votes were not announced from the podium. For example, after Iowa's delegation chair announced six votes for Romney and 22 for Ron Paul, the woman at the podium announced "Iowa ⦠six ⦠Romney!" — completely ignoring the Paul votes. Incredible.
After such blatant disrespect by the Republican Party, I hope that Ron Paul supporters will regain some self-respect in November by voting for the Libertarian candidate instead of Mitt Romney.
