The Tribune reports that "while some Utah Democrats are distancing themselves from their new national platform because it supports gay marriage and abortion rights, 1st Congressional District candidate Donna McAleer embraces those stands" ("1st District hopeful bucks other Dems, backs gay marriage," Tribune, Aug. 15).
It would seem that the only Democrat left in Utah with any testicular fortitude is a woman. Go figure.
