Why does our Legislature seem to have no problem telling us when, where and how much alcohol we can consume; how to teach our children about sex; and how long a woman must agonize about ending a pregnancy; but when it comes to regulating fireworks and firearms, it suddenly becomes afraid of trampling on people's rights?
Why do many people seem not to mind being required to insure their vehicles or homes but find it unacceptable to be required to insure their most valuable commodity, their health?
Why do we seem to have so many flag-waving patriots here in Utah until the United States government tries to pass any kind of legislation, and then suddenly, you would think we were being invaded by a foreign country?
Just wondering.
