I'm all for watching and using fireworks, but with the summer we are having, and the winter and spring we didn't have, fireworks are not a great idea. Especially the aerial-burst variety.

My lawn is all but dead, despite that it gets frequent water. Last night, someone blocks away was launching aerial-burst fireworks, so I watered a second time, just to be safe.

Sure enough, this morning I found remnants of some of those fireworks in my lawn.

Your right to the pursuit of happiness does not include the right to burn down my house, so put the blasted things away until next year!
