Vote at 16

With the presidential election coming up, I heard students at my school talking about who would be the better president. They are also talking about the issues that are going on around the country.

Since high school students are starting to form their own views on the issues, should the voting age be lowered?

Currently, the 26th Amendment allows citizens who are at least 18 years old to vote. I don't think that is young enough.

We should allow 16-year-olds to vote for their own future. They should have a say in how their life will be run. We already let them drive cars, which is dangerous, so why not let them vote?

In some other countries, such as Austria, you're able to vote at 16. If youth were allowed to vote, they would be able to take more responsibility, and it would get them involved in the community. It would also help get their parents out to vote.
