The editorial "More dog parks: City should begin process" (Our View, May 31) stated: "Everybody in Salt Lake City owns a dog. At least that's the way it seems." I totally agree.
I hear dogs barking all around the neighborhood. When one dog starts barking, all the other dogs join in.
Dog owners put their dogs in the backyard, tied up or in a kennel, and then go off to work. And the dogs bark all day.
Most of us live in close quarters, and it is rude, unneighborly and illegal to let your dogs bark.
Buy a shock collar that automatically shocks the dog when it barks. The dogs learn quickly, and your neighbors will be a lot happier.
