The people’s will ultimately comes out. It might take decades, but it will out.
The Arab spring is an example of the will of the people ultimately succeeding in controlling their own destiny. They succeeded in spite of dictators and occupying armies.

The forces that have driven the Arab spring are the same forces that drive the Occupy Wall Street movement — the people. Precisely, the 99 percent who are tired and fed up with the 1 percent being elected to political offices, making laws that further entrench their hold on power and tightening their grip on 40 percent of America’s wealth.
Extreme right-wing conservatives in American politics view this movement as a threat and label it "socialism." The truth is that in the past 50 years, a redistribution of wealth has occurred, but it isn’t called socialism; it’s called greed. The wealthy got wealthier and the poor got poorer and the middle class slid toward the bottom end of the scale.
One has to wonder why right-wing conservatives not only defend the status quo but will further it by nominating multimillionaire Mitt Romney. Maybe the right wing of the Republican Party simply doesn’t care about the 99 percent of us.
