I am troubled by the direction that I see The Tribune taking. For a week you ran on the front page every conceivable angle of the Josh Powell murder story.
Now that that story has about run its course, today the screaming front page story, taking up a whole third of the page, was about the father of a shooter in a case that is 5 years old ("Sulejman Talovic’s father speaks: ‘We carry on our soul the lost lives,’" Tribune, Feb. 14).

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama’s budget proposal was relegated to a bottom corner and a story about the riots in Athens was buried on Page 8.
Why isn’t this embarrassing to you? If this kind of decision making continues, I hope you do the right thing and convert to a tabloid format.
