• He proposed a national health insurance plan very similar to Obamacare, except that it required employers to shoulder a much larger share of the cost.

• He proposed a guaranteed national minimum income plan.

Nixon was far more liberal than Obama, and all the talk about Obama being a radical leftist, a socialist, or a Marxist is utter nonsense.
