Water, wind and sun

I read The Tribune Opinion page every day. It seems that Tebowing, liquor sales, attorney general plagiarism, same-sex marriage and the presidential election (which wastes millions of dollars and is 10 months away) is all people are worried about.

Almost every day The Tribune runs articles about pollution, but not very many people seem concerned.

We need to increase our use of water, wind and solar energy. We don’t need nuclear power and the toxic waste it creates.

We should build reservoirs (they don’t have to be huge; lots of small ones will work) to generate electricity and store water for drought years and help prevent spring flooding.

Free of charge, 24-7, Mother Earth supplies water, wind and sun, and all three generate electricity without any pollution or undesirable leftover waste. If we switch to renewable energies, future generations will be grateful.

Another way to reduce pollution is to drive slower. It increase your gas mileage, saves money and creates less pollution.
