Sen. Chris Buttars, R-West Jordan, has been getting a lot of flack lately for his pursuit of those pesky "socialists" who have infiltrated education throughout Utah ("'Big trouble' in education system, Eagle Forum told," Tribune, Jan. 16). But as an actual socialist in Utah, I thank Buttars.
Yes, I thank him for all the free advertising he gives us actual socialists, because every time he says that "s" word, people go look it up, figuring if he dislikes it, then — darn! — it must be good! Chris Buttars is the best boon for socialist recruitment in Utah in years!
