Like many Utahns, I am concerned about illegal immigration. When the idea of deporting illegal immigrants is discussed, I often hear people lament about "tearing families apart." When we deport those who enter the country illegally, we don't "tear families apart" any more than we tear families apart when we send people to prison for breaking the law. It is the lawbreaker who tears his own family apart.
