A 45-year-old man was still fighting for his life Monday, three days after being hit while trying to cross a dark Orem street.

Orem police Lt. Craig Martinez said the victim's condition was unchanged from "extremely critical," the same condition as when he was rushed to the hospital about 8:30 p.m. Friday after being hit by a car near State Street and 920 North.

The man was not in a crosswalk. Police believe he had been drinking.

The woman driving the car that hit him was not cited.
