If anyone knows where Kayelyn Louder is, the Murray police and her loved ones want you to call investigators.

Louder, 30, has not had contact with her family since Sept. 27. Surveillance footage from her condominium, near 500 East and 5600 South, shows her leaving barefoot in the rain, said Murray Police Sgt. Mike Obrey.

She left everything behind, including her phone and her dog, which are "very important to her," Obrey said.

Police have no evidence that she is in danger, the sergeant said. But they have opened a case and are investigating where she might have gone.

"She never would have literally walked away [like this]," her aunt Laurie Louder said. Kayelyn Louder keeps in touch with her mother on an almost daily basis, and had spoken with her the same day she disappeared. There was nothing odd or unusual during that phone call, Laurie Louder said.

That Kayelyn Louder had vanished only came to light once her roommate — who had left Saturday — came back to their condo late Sunday or early Monday. When investigators reviewed the surveillance tape, they found that Louder was only wearing shorts and a tank top, walking barefoot into cold rain, Laurie Louder said.

She has never disappeared like this, her aunt added.

A flier about Louder's disappearance, which has been widely distributed on social media, describes her as white, with brown hair and brown eyes. She's about 5-foot-8, according to the poster.

Anyone with information about Louder or her whereabouts is asked to call the police at 801-840-4000.

"I know she's not a small child, but she's still a child of someone," Laurie Louder said.
