Provo police are asking for the public's help finding the driver who hit a skateboarder and drove off.

The skateboarder, Tyler Bullock, was in critical condition Wednesday. He was riding near 2000 N. 550 West on Tuesday evening when a vehicle hit him about 7:30 p.m., according to a Provo police news release.

"Witnesses saw the vehicle that struck [Bullock] stop momentarily then drive away," the release reads.

Bullock, of Provo, was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where he is being treated for head injuries.

A witness later told police that the suspect vehicle is a mid-size 1990s sedan, and police are looking for more information about the vehicle and its driver.

Investigators found broken glass at the scene, which suggests that the windshield of the suspect might be damaged, said Officer Brian Taylor.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 801-852-6255.
