A man struck twice as he attempted to run across State Street in South Salt Lake remained on life support Wednesday.
South Salt Lake police said the unidentified man, believed in his 30s, was still listed in "very critical" condition at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
The man was trying to dash across a dark, poorly lit section of State Street at 2929 South Monday night when he was hit first by one car, and then a second vehicle. He suffered severe head injuries.
No citations had been issued. The incident remains under investigation.
