A Duchesne man has died of injuries suffered earlier this month in a motorcycle crash in Roosevelt.

Coy Clayburn, 22, was driving his Harley-Davidson west on Highway 40 near 800 South when another vehicle turned in front of him to go east, said Roosevelt police Officer Luke Stradinger. The two collided almost head-on at about 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Stradinger said Clayburn was wearing a helmet, but suffered several broken bones.

Police Chief Rick Harrison said Monday that Clayburn died at a hospital on Sept. 25.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 30-year-old Altonah man, was cited with failure to yield, a class C misdemeanor.
