One person was seriously hurt and a horse was euthanized Sunday after a Utah County crash.

The Utah Highway Patrol said a gray car was traveling south on Interstate 15 when the driver lost control of the car about a mile south of Pleasant Grove shortly before 11 a.m. The car veered into the median, struck the concrete barrier, then bounced back into the southbound lanes where it collided with a full-size pickup truck pulling a horse trailer, according to UHP.

Three females in the car were taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, one of them with serious injuries.

Four people in the pickup sustained minor injuries. A veterinarian arrived to check out their three horses, one of whom the vet put down due to its injuries, according to UHP.
