A 49-year-old Rich County man was shot to death by his brother in a hunting accident Saturday afternoon.

The men, who were not immediately identified, had been stalking antelope near Little Creek Reservoir about 6:30 p.m. when one of the men took a shot at an animal, according to a statement from the Rich County Sheriff's Office.

The shooter didn't see his brother kneeling or sitting near him.

A bullet struck the victim in his head. He died immediately.

No charges have been filed in the case, though authorities said Monday the incident was still under investigation by the sheriff's office and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
