University of Utah students were invited to experience "natural chicken behavior" Monday — from wing-flapping to dust baths — at a virtual reality exhibit presented by peta2, the youth division of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

The "I, Chicken" project is supported by a grant from "The Simpsons" co-creator and philanthropist Sam Simon.

Allowing students to become a virtual chicken can lead them to stop eating chicken, said peta2 Director Marta Holmberg in a statement.

The exhibit will be available again Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the east ballroom in the Olpin student union building.
