Cole Urmann recently switched schools to escape large fifth-grade class sizes at Wasatch Elementary.

The two fifth-grade classes there had 34 students and 37 students when school started, despite efforts underway in the Salt Lake City School District to shrink class sizes.

Urmann now attends the Salt Lake City Arts Academy, a charter school, while Wasatch might get a paraprofessional to help out in the classrooms.

Utah has some of the largest class sizes in the country. Do you have a similar story? Is your child in an even larger class?

The Tribune wants readers to help us find the largest public school class in the state. We're not talking about classes designed to be taught with two teachers or traditionally large classes such as band or choir. We're looking for that huge fourth-grade room or that enormous high school physics class.

Readers can email their comments and stories this week to reporter Lisa Schencker at lschencker@sltrib.com or tweet them with #utahbiggestclass, and we may publish your comments.
