More than 50 fourth-grade students from Backman Elementary School in Salt Lake City picked pumpkins, above, rode on a wagon, learned about farm animals and ventured into a corn maze Tuesday on a field trip to Black Island Farm in Syracuse., The smell of freshly picked corn, right, garnered interest from one of the fourth graders. The purpose of the field trip was to learn where food comes from. Tuesday's exposure to farm life was a first for many of the elementary school students.
