"Yappy Hour" is an evening of live music, food and beverages Wednesday at Pioneer Park for residents who like relaxing with their canine pals.

Salt Lake City's Parks and Public Lands Division invites the public to bring their dogs and unwind at "Yappy Hour" from 5-8 p.m. at the park, located at 350 South 300 West.

The city is hosting the festive evening with support from Millcreek FIDOS, Salt Lake County Animal Services, Best Friends Animal Society and Barley's Canine Recreation Center.

An off-leash area is available where pooches can stretch their legs.

Live music will be provided by The Nathan Spenser Revue.

Admission is free.

Food from the Chow Truck and beverages by Uinta Brewing Company will be available for purchase. An ID is required to purchase alcohol. Outside food, alcohol and coolers are prohibited.
