A woman struck by a pickup truck while she was crossing a dark street in Park City this weekend remained in critical condition on Monday, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce confirmed no change in the condition of the victim, believed to be in her early 20s, had been reported since the 8:30 p.m. Sunday accident.

The woman was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash, but was wearing dark clothing and the driver said he did not see her until it was too late to stop, Royce said.

The pickup, hauling a trailer, had just rounded a corner when it hit the woman near State Road 224 and Sun Peak Drive.

No citations had been issued as the incident remained under investigation.
