In boats, on shore and in the water, search and rescue workers and divers again took to Flaming Gorge Reservoir on Wednesday in hopes of finding and recovering the body of boater missing since Monday.

Daggett County sheriff's dispatchers said that as of Wednesday afternoon, the remains of 69-year-old Charles Darrell Thomas of Riverton, presumed to have drowned when his small boat capsized in choppy waves 4 p.m. Monday, had not been found.

Thomas and his unidentified, 62-year-old female friend were in the electric-motor powered boat traveling between Antelope Flats and the Lucerne Marina when the craft overturned, tossing them both into the water.

The woman was able to swim to shore, where she then walked up the hill into a nearby camp to get help. Thomas, meanwhile, had disappeared.

Divers from Daggett County and neighboring Sweetwater (Wyo.) County have daily searched the reservoir for signs of Thomas since the incident.
