Orem • A woman who couldn't quite make it to a Provo hospital ended up delivering a baby boy in an Orem parking lot earlier this week.

The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1qEpqRD ) Benjamin Norman Anderson was born Monday in the family minivan while his two older sisters looked on.

Kelly Anderson tells the newspaper her husband, Mike, was rushing to the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center when her water broke.

She says her husband pulled over, called 911 and was on the phone with the dispatcher while she pushed. The dispatcher had warned that the baby would be slippery, and Mike Anderson says he kept repeating that he'd caught it as soon as the baby came out.

The family spent a brief time at the hospital before returning back home.
