It's a "Wet Willy" Shakespeare forecast for Utah. Occasionally tempestuous, even, in a thunderstormy kind of way, "whereof what's past is prologue."
Did anyone ever call the Bard of Avon "Willy?" Perhaps not, but Utah's weather is entirely As You Like It ... or not:
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the coming week, warning that the western two-thirds of Utah will endure wave after wave of thunder, lightning and scattered rain showers.
In an encore of weather from last week, the Wasatch Front looks for morning, afternoon and evening pulses of precipitation and breezes of 10-25 mph on Tuesday, mirroring Monday's forecast. High temperatures will be the upper-70s to low-80s.
Southern Utahns can expect a similar cycle of storms under mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures Tuesday will climb to near 90 degrees, a few degrees cooler than Monday's forecast.
The Utah Division of Air Quality rated the entire state in the "green," or healthy category beginning Tuesday.
The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website listed chenopods as "very high," ragweed as "moderate" and other allergens "low" on the pollen index as of Monday.
